To connect Stripe's internet reader, specifically the S700, you will need to generate a "pairing code" that will be entered within your MassageBook account.
To generate a pairing code, you can follow these steps from your Stripe S700:
- Power on the reader: Ensure the reader is fully charged and powered on.
- Open settings: Swipe right on the screen to reveal the Settings button, then tap it.
- Enter admin PIN: Input the admin PIN 07139.
- Generate pairing code: Look for and tap the "Generate pairing code" option.
Once the code has been generated, you can then connect the reader to a desktop/laptop or the mobile app.
Note: If Tap to Pay is enabled or you are connected to another reader, you will need to Deactivate Tap to Pay or forget the current reader in order to connect the S700 reader.
To connect to a desktop/laptop:
- Login at www.massagebook.com/login.
- Select Settings.
- Select Credit Card Payments.
- Select +Card Reader
- Enter your display name
- Enter the pairing code generated by the reader.
- Select Connect
To connect to the mobile app:
- Open MassageBook Manager.
- Select the Menu in the top left corner of the screen.
- Select App Settings.
- Select Checkout.
- If you have multiple locations, you will need to select the desired business from the "Checkout" section on the page.
- Select MassageBook Pay Card readers.
- Select + Register Device.
- Enter your device display name and registration code (pairing code).
- Select Save.
Once the reader is registered, it will then need to be connected to the mobile device. To do this:
- Select the Menu in the top left corner of the screen.
- Select App Settings.
- Select Checkout.
- If you have multiple locations, you will need to select the desired business from the "Checkout" section on the page.
- Select MassageBook Pay (the first option).
- Select Connect.
- Select Internet.
- Select the terminal to connect.

Notes:
- If you have having issues with connecting the reader to MassageBook Manager, use a paperclip to reset your Stripe reader using the reset button located at the back of the reader, near the USB port. Wait a couple of minutes and then power on the reader again. Then, immediately navigate to the MassageBook Manager app and start from Step 1 above.
- If you get stuck on the "Connecting" page in MassageBook Manager, make sure that your reader is charged. A reader with less than a 10% charge cannot successfully connect to the mobile app. We also recommend keeping your reader fully updated. Stripe readers should automatically update over night if connected to a power source. You can also manually reset the reader to initiate any updates.
- The reader may automatically disconnect or turn off if it has been idle for an extended period of time. The reader does this to save battery and this functionality cannot be disabled. Your device may also disconnect from the reader if the MassageBook Manager app has been idle for too long.
- To enable tipping after payment, the Merchant Classification Code on your MassageBook Pay account should be "Health and Beauty Spa" (MCC 7298).
