MassageBook will allow you to save a credit card on file when taking a client's payment via the Cash Register.
During the payment process, a toggle to "Save card for future payments" will appear after selecting the Charge option on the "Select Payment Method" page. To save the card on file, follow the steps below:
- Select an appointment within your schedule.
- You can also go to the Cash Register and create a service or product sale.
- Select Checkout
- Click Select Payment Method.
- Select Charge.
- Enable the toggle "Save card for future payments"
- Enter the client's credit card information.
- Select Complete.
Notes:
- Cards saved on file by the business will be available to be charged during any transaction within the Cash Register. But, the card will not be available to be charged during cancellation for late cancellation/no show.
- Saved card information is stored in Stripe directly. Stripe is PCI-compliant and uses industry-standard security measures to protect sensitive payment information. When a client chooses to save a card on file, the full credit card number is not stored directly within MassageBook. Instead, the card information is tokenized, which means the card details are replaced with a secure digital token. This token can be used to process future transactions, but it does not contain the actual card number.
