A Prepaid credit (Service or Series) must be applied to an appointment as it is booked on the schedule rather than applied during appointment checkout. This allows for credits to be proactively applied to appointments in the future, labeling those appointments as "Prepaid".
If all of the client's credits have been applied to future appointments on the schedule, and the client wishes to apply a credit to a new appointment, but keep the future appointment, the appointments will need to be modified to ensure the appropriate credits are assigned.
In this situation, you will need to remove the credit from a future appointment and apply it to the new appointment. The service and client cannot be edited on a prepaid appointment booked by the client, so the steps below will differ depending on how the appointment was scheduled:
If the future prepaid appointment was Booked by Business:
- Select a future appointment booked with a Prepaid Credit.
- Select Edit to open the appointment modal.
- Select Edit to make changes to the appointment details.
- Select the service dropdown menu and adjust the service to a non-prepaid service.
- Select Save.
- Apply the credit to the new appointment.
If the future prepaid appointment was Booked by Client
- Select a future appointment booked with a Series Credit.
- Select Edit to open the appointment modal.
- Select Edit to make changes to the appointment details.
- Adjust the time and date of the appointment to match the time and date of the current appointment.
- Select Save.
- Re-book the future appointment, or edit the time and date of the current appointment to match the time and date of the future appointment that was modified.
