Transfers are the payouts Square makes to your bank. Transfers often include several individual Payments. Transfers are these Payments less any fees.
If you'd like to take a look at the Transfers Square makes to your bank account, you can do that in the Balance section of your Square account. The most effective way to look into Transfers is logging into your Square account through a web browser on a Laptop/Desktop/Tablet. The Balance section of Square's POS mobile app lacks some important details about Transfers and so we do not recommend using it for this purpose.
Listed below are the steps you'll need to see Upcoming Transfers:
- Login to your Square account by clicking here.
- On the navigation panel to the left, select Balance.
- If you have more than one location, choose which location you would like to view.
- Your next scheduled Transfer will display in the Upcoming Transfers section.
Listed below are the steps you'll need to see Transfer history:
- Login to your Square account by clicking here.
- On the navigation panel to the left, select Balance. If you have more than one location, choose which location you would like to view.
- In the Upcoming Transfers section, select View all transfers.
- If necessary, use the Date filter at the top of the report, to filter for a specific date range.
- Use the Location filter to filter for a specific location if you have more than one.
- To see the Payments included in a particular Transfer, select the Transfer from the list.
- In the window that opens from the right side of the screen, scroll down to the Payments in this Transfer report.
- There you will list a list of Payments.The Collected column represents the total payment made.
- The Net Total column represents the total payment made less any fees.
To match the payments in a Transfer with those payments in your Massagebook account:
- Make note of the Date shown at the top left of Payments in this Transfer report. That Date is the date that the Payments were made to you.
- Log in to your Massagebook account.
- Select Sales on the blue toolbar.
- Scroll down to the Sales Activity section on the left of the page.
- Find the date in question. If necessary, use the Date Range filters at the top of the list to find the date in question.
- Click each Payment to see open the Receipt.
- The Total should match the Collected column in the Payments in this Transfer report.
Alternatively:
- Make note of the Date shown at the top left of Payments in this Transfer report. That Date is the date that the Payments were made to you.
- Log in to your Massagebook account.
- Select Sales on the blue toolbar.
- Select Reports at the top left.
- Select the Income by Payment Type report.
- Use the Date Range filters at the top left to isolate the date in question.
- The Total should match the Collected column in the Payments in this Transfer report.
Notes:
- Massagebook reports cannot be run for a single date--they must be run for a minimum of 2 days. Using the above screenshot as an example, the report used would need to be run for Dec 21-Dec 22 or Dec 22-Dec 23.
- Split Payments will display differently in your Square account. For instance, if a $100 payment is made with $50 Cash and $50 credit card, the Payments in this Transfer report in your Square account will only display the $50 credit card amount.
- Payments made with Gift Certificates or Store Credit will not display in your Square account.
