How do I handle regular, on-site chair massage events?

While we don't have official functionality for managing on-site chair massage events, there is a work-around that many of our users use to satisfaction.  The following if a summary:

  • Setup a placeholder Staff Member naming it the location of the chair massage event.
  • Add a Service to your Service Menu naming it the location of the chair massage event.
  • Assign the Service created in Step 2 to ONLY the placeholder Staff Member created in Step 1.
  • Assign the relevant Availability to the placeholder Staff Member.
    • If it is a weekly, recurring event you can setup recurring Availability for the particular day of the week.
    • If it is a one-off event, using Modified Availability (adding Availability to one single date) is the way to go.

To walk through this with a example, imagine you have a chair massage event at the hypothetical BusinessABC every week on Thursdays:

  1. Create a placeholder Staff Member (click here for assistance with adding new Staff) naming it the following: BusinessABC Staff
  2. Next, create a Service on my Service Menu (click here for assistance with adding a new Service) named the following: BusinessABC ONLY - Chair Massage
  3. Next, assign this new Service to the placeholder Staff Member (click here for assistance with assigning Services to Staff)
  4. Confirm that Service "BusinessABC ONLY - Chair Massage" is NOT assigned to any other Staff Members by viewing their Staff Settings.
  5. Finally, setup the Recurring Availability on Thursdays (click here for assistance with adding Availability for Staff Members).

You can then get a booking link that is specific to the "Business ABC Staff" staff member by visiting your Business Website > select the menu option in the top right corner > select Staff > select Book Now beside the "Business ABC Staff" staff member > copy the url in the address bar. This url can be shared with the attendees of the event, and they will be restricted to booking only the "BusinessABC ONLY - Chair Massage" service. Further, since I've only provided "BusinessABC Staff" with availability on Thursdays, that's the only day the clients will see appointment openings.
