Photo / Image Guidelines Across MassageBook

There are multiple places in MassageBook to upload photos, and each has guidelines to ensure that the photo displays well. This article lists the guidelines as well as tips on how to find and take great photos. 

Photo Guidelines

Personal Photo (Personal Listing)

• File format - JPG or PNG

• File size - 4 MB

• Pixel ratio - 640 x 480 is recommended, at minimum, 320 x 240 should be used

Business Website Background Photo

• File format - JPG or PNG

• File size - less than 4 MB

• Pixel ratio - 1200 x 800 is recommended

Business Photos (in About > Setup)

• File format - JPG or PNG

• File size - 4 MB

Business photo tips

1. Brighten it up

Light lends depth and color to the scene. Sunlight is best, but if it's a dim day, or your room doesn’t have windows, just flick on an overhead light and lamp.

2. Shoot into a corner

This helps show a fuller view of a space and adds depth. It also gives the appearance of being larger.

3. Take outside photos

Help people imagine what coming to your business would look and feel like. Photograph the entire building and area around it to give your website visitors a clear understanding of what to expect when they come to visit you. Don’t worry if the outside doesn’t look as nice as the inside, first time clients just don’t want to be surprised.

4. Less is more

De-cluttering is important as it will make your place feel more open. Extra things will just distract in the photo. Remember to be sure that the photo is a true reflection of how guests will see the space.

5. Highlight the special

Show potential clients what makes your space unique, comfortable and attractive (e.g. comfortable waiting room, shower, steam room, etc.)
