Resizing an Image

Apple Devices

Apple users can quickly resize images using the built-in Preview app.

Adjust Image Dimensions

1. Double-click the image file to open it in Preview
2. In the top menu, click Tools
3. Select Adjust Size
4. In the pop-up window:
   1. Enter new values for Width and Height
   2. Ensure “Scale proportionally” is checked to maintain aspect ratio
5. Click OK
    

Reduce File Size

1. With the image open in Preview, click File → Export
2. Choose the JPEG format
3. Use the Quality slider to reduce file size
4. Click Save

Windows Devices

Windows users can easily resize images using the built-in Photos app or Paint.

Using the Photos App

1. Right-click the image and select Open with → Photos
2. Click the three-dot menu (•••) in the top-right corner
3. Select Resize image
4. Choose a preset size or select Define custom dimensions
5. Click Save resized copy

Using Paint

1. Right-click the image and select Open with → Paint
2. Click the Resize button in the toolbar
3. Choose: Percentage or Pixels
4. Enter your desired size
5. Ensure Maintain aspect ratio is checked
6. Click OK
7. Go to File → Save As to save the resized image
