To enhance the security of your MassageBook account, Two-Factor Authentication can be enabled for account sign in. Once enabled, you will be required to authenticate your identity during sign in via a code emailed the the address on file in your account. Two-Factor Authentication settings are available only to accounts designated as a Business Owner on at least 1 MassageBook business.
Note: Enabling Two-Factor Authentication will force sign-out on all mobile app sessions for users connected to your business(s) 3 hours after updating the setting.
To enable Two-Factor Authentication:
- Select Your Name in the top right corner of your account.
- Select Two-Factor Authentication.
- Activate the Enable Two-Factor Authentication setting.
- Adjust the Days until device will need to be verified again setting
- This will adjust how often you are asked to use Two-Factor Authentication to sign in.
- Enable the Require Two-Factor Authentication for staff members setting.
- This will require Two-Factor Authentication for all staff of businesses where you are listed as a Business Owner.
- Select Save.
After the feature is enabled, you will be sent a verification code via email the next time you sign in. When entering this code during the sign in process, ensure to select the option to Remember this device before selecting to submit so that you are not required to validate again on that device until the time period configured in step 4 has passed.
Notes:
- If requiring 2FA for staff members, staff will be required to re-authenticate every 30 days.
- Turning on will force 2FA on next sign in (desktop).
- Pop-up blockers will need to be disabled as they may prevent the 2FA tab from opening in your browser.
- Supported browsers include Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.
