Enabling Tips in MassageBook Manager

If you wish to accept tips during checkout in the MassageBook Manager mobile app, you will first need to enable the setting to Allow Tips within the app. To enable tipping:

1. Open the MassageBook Manager mobile app.
2. Select the menu in the top left corner of the screen.
3. Select App Settings.
4. Select Checkout.
   • If you have multiple locations, each location will be listed under a "Checkout" section and each will have their own checkout rules.
5. Enable the toggle beside Allow Tips.
6. Select Tip Percentages to customize the tip percentages that appear during in app checkout.
7. Select Save.

If you are a MassageBook Pay user and do not see a tipping option after enabling the Allow Tips setting, it is likely because your MB Pay account is setup with a Merchant Classification Code that is not compatible with tipping through Stripe. To resolve this, you can:

• 1. Select App Settings.
  2. Select Checkout.
     • If you have multiple locations, each location will be listed under a "Checkout" section and each will have their own checkout rules.
  3. Enable the Select tip before payment setting.
  4. Select Save.

Enabling this setting will require you to select your tip amount prior to charging the client's card rather than presenting the tipping option after the card has been charged.

Notes:

• MassageBook Pay users setup with a Merchant Classification Code of 8099 for HSA/FSA acceptance will be required to enable the Select tip before payment setting in order to record tips during checkout.
• If you are a Square user and have the setting "Open Square POS during checkout" enabled, all tipping options will be managed directly in your Square POS app.
