In the event that a gift code is misplaced or stolen, you can void the original and generate a new one. The original will no longer be available for use, and the new one can be redeemed by the recipient at the end of online booking or by the Business when checking out an appointment.
Once a sale is finalized, the Gift Certificate is stored under Gift Certificates in the Credits section of the purchaser's record.
To regenerate a code, navigate to your:
- Business Profile.
- Select Clients to open your list.
- Search for and select the Client who purchased the Gift Certificate to open their record.
- Select the Credits tab.
- Under Gift Certificates, select Regenerate next to the Gift Certificate.
The existing code in the Certificate column will be removed, and a new one will be issued.
Afterwards, the new code can be emailed or printed so that the recipient has access to and can redeem it.
Alternatively, a code can be regenerated from the Gift Certificates Report by navigating to your Business Profile > Sales > Reports > Gift Certificates > Regenerate.
Note: If you regenerate a Unique Code, you will not recreate a new one. A random code will be generated in it's place instead.
