Gift Certificates will not automatically Expire after a certain period of time, and are not automatically void when the gift certificate purchase is refunded. The Gift Certificate will remain active under the purchaser's client record until it's Redeemed or Expired.
To Expire a Gift Certificate so that it's no longer available for future use:
- Locate the Gift Certificate. This can be found in:
- The Credits tab of the Purchasing Client's record.
- The Gift Certificates Report under the Sales tab.
- Select Expire.
- Select OK.
Afterwards, the Gift Certificate's status will update to Expired, and it will no longer be active and available for use with your Business.
Note:
- Regenerating a code does not void the Gift Certificate. It removes the existing code and replaces it with another active one.
