Once a Gift Certificate sale is complete, a gift code is generated that can be redeemed by the recipient at the end of online booking or by the Business when checking out an appointment.
If the recipient elected to pay with the Gift Certificate at the time of service but does not have it handy, you can copy the code from within your Business Profile and apply it when checking out the Client's appointment.
A gift code is stored in three locations:
- The Credits section of the Client's record who purchased the Gift Certificate.
- The Gift Certificates section of your Business Profile.
- The Gift Certificates Report in the Reports section of Sales.
To locate and copy a code from the Client's record, navigate to your:
- Business Profile.
- Select Clients to open your list.
- Search for and select the Client who purchased the Gift Certificate to open their record.
- Select the Credits tab.
- Highlight and copy the Code in the Certificate column under Gift Certificates.
To locate and copy a code from the Gift Certificates section, navigate to your:
- Business Profile.
- Select Marketing.
- Select Gift Certificates to open Activity.
- Under Activity, enter at least three consecutive characters in Search by Purchaser / Recipient to filter the entries. Note: Selecting a recipient isn't required when purchasing a Gift Certificate. A recipient will only be available in Activity if the purchaser entered one into the To field when filling in a Gift Certificate template.
- Highlight and copy the Code in the Code column.
To locate and copy a code from the Gift Certificates Report, navigate to your:
- Business Profile.
- Select Sales.
- Select Reports in the top left corner.
- Select Gift Certificates.
- Select the All Contacts dropdown menu.
- Locate and select the Client who purchased the Gift Certificate.
- Highlight and copy the Code in the Certificate column.
