You may notice a "MassageBook Refused to Connect" error message on your external website if you've either set up an Embedded Widget or Domain Forward. Here's how to fix either situation:
For Embedded Widgets:
In an effort to follow the most up-to-date security standards and provide the best experience for your clients, we have updated our embeddable schedule widget. If the embeddable widget is no longer displaying properly on your external website, please be sure to update the embedded code.
You can find the new code by following these steps:
- Log into your MassageBook account
- Click Setup
- Click Website Integration
- Click Copy
- Replace the existing code on your external site with the copied code
You can learn more about website integration here:
Embedding your MassageBook Schedule directly onto your website
For Domain Forwards:
There are two kinds of domain forwards you can set up: a full redirect or a masked forward. With a normal redirect forward, the client visits one URL and is sent to a separate URL. With a masked forward, the same thing happens, but the URL of the website does not change. So it appears to the client that the website that they're on is part of the first URL they visited.
With our new integration tools, you are no longer able to set up a masked domain forward. If you currently have a masked domain forward, you will need to access the editing tools for your existing website and change it to a normal redirect forward. You may visit this article for more information.
