If the option to leave a tip is not appearing during checkout in the mobile app, it is possible that one of the following reasons are preventing a tip option from appearing:
Your MassageBook Pay account has been assigned the Merchant Classification Code 8099 (Medical Services, not elsewhere classified) to accept HSA/FSA payments.
On-receipt tipping is only available for US businesses with eligible MCCs, listed below:
- Taxicabs and limousines
- Eating places and restaurants
- Drinking places (alcoholic beverages)
- Fast food restaurants
- Beauty and barber shops
- Health and beauty spas
If your MB Pay account is assigned the Medical Services, not elsewhere classified "MCC", you will need to enable the setting to "Select tip before payment" setting in your mobile app: Enabling Tips in MassageBook Manager.
The Tipping Settings in your connected Square account have been adjusted/disabled.
The Tipping settings within your Square account will adjust the tipping functionality during checkout in MassageBook Manager. If you do not see an option to leave a tip during appointment checkout, you can review the Tipping settings within your Square account by:
- Open the Square POS app.
- Select More.
- Select Settings.
- Select Checkout.
- Select Tipping.
Ensure the "Collect Tips" setting is enabled. It may help to disable and re-enable the setting in your account, then retry checkout in MassageBook Manager.
