The default settings for a rollover credit allows the credit to be used for the following month after the credit is received. For example, if a client is charged on April 1st, and the credit is unused by May 1st, it will rollover to June. If unused by June 1st, it will expire.
However, you can choose for credits to rollover for various lengths up to a year. When creating a new membership, you can choose how long credits rollover until they expire. This article is intended for editing existing memberships to change how long a credit is active if unused.
To edit your rollover settings, follow these steps:
- Business Profile.
- Select Setup.
- Select Service Menu.
- Select Memberships.
- Select Active, Inactive, or Archived depending on what type you're editing.
- Select the Membership Display Name or the Pencil Icon to open Membership Details.
- Edit the drop down for Allow unused sessions to rollover for __ months before expiring
- Select Save
After clicking Save an option will appear asking if you would like these changes to affect existing and future credits or only future credits
Once you select an option on this screen, the changes will go into effect and the expiration dates on credits will be based on your selection.
Note: If the credits have already expired and been removed from the client's account, you will not be able to extend their rollover period. Any changes you make will apply to credits that are still showing in the client's account.
