Do you have existing appointments from a previous booking system that you want to transfer into MassageBook? Do you have previously scheduled personal appointments that may conflict with your hours of availability, therefore you want that time to show as "unavailable" in MassageBook? If you are managing your Schedule via Google Calendar or another Software Provider, then you should consider using our Google Sync feature to transfer those appointments.
To get started, ensure that you are on a Subscription Plan that includes the Google Sync feature.
- Navigate to your Business tab.
- Select Settings.
- Select Calendar Sync.
- Select Connect Your Google Calendar.
- Choose the Google account (email address) for the account whose calendar you wish to connect to. If no email address displays, select Add Account and enter in your email and address and password in the space provided.
- Grant MassageBook offline access by selecting Allow.
- If you have multiple calendars within your Gmail Account, a drop-down list of all available calendars will display. Please, make sure to select the correct calendar, the one that you want to sync from your Gmail Account to MassageBook.
- Select Save.
- Select the checkbox that indicates your preferred syncing options. Select Save.
- Show MassageBook events in Google Calendar: MassageBook appointments will be exported to Google.
- Show Google Calendar events in MassageBook: Google events will be imported into MassageBook.
Notes:
- Blocked Time does not sync to Google.
- If syncing events that have synced from another calendar or software, your Google Calendar must have read/write permissions over the events syncing from the 3rd party account in order for those events to then sync to MassageBook.
- Events more than 30 days in the past, or 90 days into the future do not sync.
- All day Google events do not sync.
- Prep and recovery time are not included in synced events.
- Events that span more than one day in Google do not sync to MassageBook.
- Google cautions that the syncing of events between Google Calendar and MassageBook can take up to 30 minutes depending on the sync traffic they are experiencing.
- You must be the owner of the calendar in order for the sync to function. To determine whether you are the owner, please click here.
- The core motive behind offering Google's sync tool is to make it easier for those moving onto the MassageBook platform from another software provider, not for managing your business day-to-day. For 100% accuracy, we recommend booking appointments and blocking personal time directly on your MassageBook Schedule.
