If your Business is connected with either Square or Stripe for credit card processing, all Service Certificates and Custom Certificates that are Active and Online can be purchased online by Clients through your MassageBook Business Website or Business Listing.
When purchasing one online as a Client, you'll select:
- A template for the Gift Certificate.
- The type of gift.
- The recipient of the gift (optional).
- The delivery method (email or print).
- The To and From (optional).
Once a Gift Certificate sale is complete, a gift code is generated that can be redeemed by the recipient at the end of online booking or by the Business when checking out an appointment.
To purchase a Gift Certificate online as a Client:
- Go the Business's MassageBook Business Website.
- Select Gift Certificates to view which types are available.
- Choose a Gift Certificate type and Select or Buy it.
- Pick a Certificate Style and Select it.
- Enter the recipient's First Name and Last Name (optional).
- Select a Delivery Method:
- If Email, enter the Recipient's Email Address. Note: Enter your own if you want it emailed to yourself instead.
- If Print, it will be available to print once the sale if finalized.
- Enter To, From, and a Message to personalize the Gift Certificate (optional).
- Select Preview to view the customization. Select Close to close the preview.
- Select Review and Pay to proceed to Confirm Checkout.
- Enter your Email Address.
- Select Continue to proceed.
- If you have an existing MassageBook account, enter your Password. If you don't, enter your Contact Information to create one. Note: Because the recipient may not be an existing Client of the Business, the Gift Certificate is stored and recorded under the purchaser's account.
- Select Continue to proceed to Payment.
- Enter Credit Card Information.
- Select Purchase to charge the card and to complete buying the Gift Certificate.
If you selected to email, you'll see, "Nice! You just sent a Gift Certificate to abc@xyz.com." The Gift Certificate will automatically be emailed to the address entered in step 6, and it will contain the Business's contact information, the gift code, and a link to the Business's MassageBook Business Website to book online.
If you selected to print, you'll see, "Success! Thanks for your purchase. Click the Print button below to print your Gift Certificate." Select Print Gift Certificate to print it. It will include the same information as the emailed version.
Note:
- Because a recipient isn't required, a Gift Certificate can be redeemed by whomever the purchase gives it to.
- Only one Gift Certificate can be purchased online at a time. Select Purchasing another Gift Certificate? Click here at the end of buying the first to buy another.
- If the purchaser isn't already an existing Client of the Business, a record with their contact information will be added to the Business after a Gift Certificate is bought.
- If activated by the Business, the Business will receive an email and text alert about any new online purchases, and the purchaser will be emailed a receipt.
- Payment is automatically sent to the Business's connected bank account.
- Only the cost of the Gift Certificate can be paid for online. A tip cannot be added when purchasing a Gift Certificate online.
- Store Credit cannot be applied to Gift Certificate purchases.
