If you choose to allow new clients to book through your Business Listing in the MassageBook Search Directory, all new clients booking through there will be required to prepay in order to confirm their appointment.
Connecting a Stripe account for Money Transfers Only allows you to:
- Receive payment for an appointment booked by a new client through your Business Listing in the MassageBook Search Directory.
- If you're fully connected with Stripe or Square for credit card processing in MassageBook at the time of online booking, funds from that type of appointment will automatically be sent to the bank account associated with your Stripe or Square account.
- If you've chosen to not fully connect with Stripe or Square, connecting with Stripe for Money Transfers Only lets you still receive funds from new Clients booking through your Business Listing.

- Collect payment for an appointment paid for with a MassageBook Gift Card.
- If a new client's appointment is paid for with a MassageBook Gift Card, you'll receive 83% of the redeemed amount. Only Stripe can be used to receive funds from that type of payment.
- If you're connected with Square to charge credit cards in MassageBook or not connected to Stripe for All Payments in MassageBook, you must connect with Stripe for Money Transfers Only in order to collect funds from an appointment paid for with a MassageBook Gift Card.

If you don't already have a Stripe account, you can create one via MassageBook and connect it during that process. If you already have a Stripe account, you can connect it to MassageBook to begin receiving payments involving money transfers.
To create a new Stripe account and to connect it to MassageBook for money transfers only, navigate to your:
- Business Profile.
- Select Settings.
- Select Credit Card Payments.
- Under Stripe, select to connect for Money transfers only.
- Select Connect with Stripe to open the Payments Terms of Use.
- Check I Agree to the Payments Terms of Use.
- Select Connect with Stripe to open the account activation form.
- Enter the required information under Business details.
- Enter the required information under You, the individual or sole proprietor.
- Enter the required information under Credit card statement details.
- Enter the required information under Bank details.
- Enter the Email you want to use for your Stripe account.
- Enter the Password you want to use for your Stripe account.
- Select Authorize access to this account to complete connecting your new Stripe account to MassageBook
You'll automatically be taken back to the Credit Card Payments section of your Business Profile, and you'll see Connected (Money Transfers Only) next to Stripe.
To connect an existing Stripe account to MassageBook for Money Transfers Only, navigate to your:
- Business Profile.
- Select Settings.
- Select Credit Card Payments.
- Under Stripe, select to connect for Money transfers only.
- Select Connect with Stripe to open the Payments Terms of Use.
- Check I Agree to the Payments Terms of Use.
- Select Connect with Stripe to open the account activation form.
- Select Sign In in the top right corner to go to the Stripe sign in page.
- Enter your Stripe account's Email.
- Enter your Stripe account's Password.
- Select Sign in to your account to go back to the account activation form. Note: If your Stripe account manages multiple accounts, select Switch Account on the activation form to choose which one to connect to MassageBook.
- At the bottom of the form, select Authorize access to this account to complete connecting your existing Stripe account to MassageBook.
You'll automatically be taken back to the Credit Card Payments section of your Business Profile, and you'll see Connected (Money Transfers Only) next to Stripe.
Note:
- You can only charge credit cards in MassageBook if you're fully connected with Stripe or Square. Just being connected with Stripe for Money Transfers Only does not allow you to charge credit cards in MassageBook.
- Since the information provided to Stripe during sign up is extremely sensitive (Tax ID, bank account number, and routing number) we are not provided any visibility to the process. If you experience difficulties, you will need to reach out to Stripe's Support Team directly. To do so, please click here.
- If you're connected with Square + Stripe for Money Transfers Only, all credit card payments made by clients will be processed by Square and sent to the bank account associated with your Square account. Stripe for Money Transfers Only is just used to receive funds for an appointment paid for with a MassageBook Gift Card or if a New Client Marketing Fee is returned to you.
- The first transfer can take up to 14 business days.
- Square does not allow the transfer of funds between accounts, so even if you have a Square account, a Stripe Money Transfers Only account will be required in the event that there are funds we need to transfer to you.
