How to use your existing website name / URL with your MassageBook website

If you have an existing website address or URL that you want to point to your MassageBook website, you can make this change within your current website hosting platform. A domain forward simply tells Google and other search engines that the website address has changed, and all traffic should be routed to the new address. This allows you to keep your existing website address that you may have previously published on business cards, marketing material, etc. while still driving clients to book online via your newly designed MassageBook website. 

When forwarding your domain, it is very important that you enter the correct MassageBook website address for promoting your website. Using the correct website address ensures that new clients coming to your site are not considered MassageBook referrals. 

You can locate it by navigating to your:  Business tab > Setup > Business Details section. Scroll down until your see your MassageBook website address. It looks like this: https://www.massagebook.com/biz/yourbusinessname. 

Be sure to include the https and biz portions of the URL when forwarding your domain. 

We've included some steps from popular web hosting services, but we strongly recommend that you contact the Help Center for your hosting provider should you need assistance with forwarding your domain. They will be able to provide you with the most up-to-date information in the event their publicly available information has changed.

Forwarding your GoDaddy domain to MassageBook

  1. Log in to your GoDaddy Domain Control Center.
  2. Select your domain to access the Domain Settings page.
  3. Select Manage DNS under Additional Settings.
  4. Under Forwarding, select Add domain next to Domain.
  5. Choose https:// from the dropdown menu for the destination URL your domain will forward to.
  6. Enter the forwarding address in the Destination URL field. Be sure to enter the MassageBook website address found in your Business Details section. It looks like this: https://www.massagebook.com/biz/yourbusinessname.
  7. Select your Forward type: Permanent (301)
  8. Select Save.

Forwarding your Bluehost domain to MassageBook

  1. Select the Hosting tab.
  2. Under Domains, select Domain Manager.
  3. Under Shortcuts, select Manage Domain Redirection.
  4. Under add redirect, select Permanent (301).
  5. Select your domain from the drop-down.
  6. Next to redirects to, be enter the MassageBook website address found in your Business Details section. It looks like this: https://www.massagebook.com/biz/yourbusinessname. 
  7. Choose the option for Redirect with or without www.
  8. Select Add this Redirect.

Forwarding your 1 & 1 domain to MassageBook

  1. Log in to your 1&1 Control Panel and select the relevant package.
  2. Click Domains > My Domains > Manage Domains.
  3. Select the domain from the domain's list.
  4. Under Domain Settings, select Edit Destination. 
  5. To change the destination, select Redirect (A) and Enter the URL into the Redirect destination text box (B). Then select HTTP redirect (C) as the type. Be sure to enter the MassageBook website address found in your Business Details section. It looks like this: https://www.massagebook.com/biz/yourbusinessname.

Forwarding your namecheap domain to MassageBook

  1. Sign into your Namecheap account (the Sign In option is available in the top part of the page). 
  2. Select Domain List from the left side menu and click the Manage button next to your domain.
  3. Navigate to the Advanced DNS tab at the top of the page.
  4. Find the Host Records section and click the Add New Record button.
  5. Select URL Redirect Record from the drop-down menu for Type, put @ (your bare domain, e.g., yourdomain.tld) for Host and enter the your MassageBook website address into the Value line. Be sure to enter the MassageBook website address found in your Business Details section. It looks like this: https://www.massagebook.com/biz/yourbusinessname.
  6. Click on the Save All Changes button. To redirect www.yourdomain.tld or any subdomain such as blog.yourdomain.tld to a URL, enter www or blog for Host accordingly.

Forwarding your Squarespace domain to your MassageBook

  1. Open Advanced DNS settings for the domain you’d like to forward.
  2. Your domain can’t forward when Website Defaults are in place, so first delete these from your presets. You can always add them again if you need them later.
  3. After deleting the default records, select Forward Domain from the Add Presets drop-down menu.
  4. In the URL field, enter the MassageBook website address found in your Business Details section. It looks like this: https://www.massagebook.com/biz/yourbusinessname.
  5. Select Add.

Forwarding your InMotion domain to MassageBook

  1. Login to cPanel.
  2. Under Domains, select Redirects.
  3. You will then be on the Add Redirect page. Click the drop-down box for Type and choose Permanent (301).
  4. Click the next drop-down box and choose the domain you want to redirect.
  5. In the Redirects to section, enter the MassageBook website address found in your Business Details section. It looks like this: https://www.massagebook.com/biz/yourbusinessname.
  6. Choose the option for Redirect with or without www.
  7. Click the Add button when you are finished.

Forwarding your Google domain to MassageBook

  1. Sign in to Google Domains.
  2. Click the domain name.
  3. Open the menu Menu, if applicable.
  4. Click Website .
  5. Under "Forward to an existing webpage, click; Add a forwarding address.
  6. Enter the MassageBook website address found in your Business Details section (it looks like this: https://www.massagebook.com/biz/yourbusinessname) in the "Website URL" field.
  7. If you’re happy with the default values, click Forward.
